Well-being Support for Amputees

Adjusting to limb loss is not only a physical process, it is also an emotional one. At the London Prosthetics Centre, mental well-being support is a key component of our integrated rehabilitation programme.

We recognise that recovery involves adapting to change, processing trauma, and rebuilding confidence. Our psychological support services are delivered by trusted, qualified professionals in a private, confidential, and comfortable environment.

Mental health is supported alongside physical rehabilitation to ensure truly holistic care.

Every experience of limb loss is different. Emotional responses may include grief, anxiety, frustration, low mood, or uncertainty about the future. These reactions are entirely valid and part of the adjustment process. Addressing emotional health can improve:

  • Engagement with physiotherapy and prosthetic training
  • Motivation and goal setting
  • Social reintegration
  • Confidence in public environments
  • Overall quality of life

Our aim is to ensure that you feel supported not only in how you move, but in how you live.
