How do I know which rehabilitation programme is right for me?
Your case manager, our prosthetists, and rehabilitation specialists will work together to create a completely bespoke treatment and rehabilitation programme to best suit your needs and goals. If you require round-the-clock care due to the complexity of your injury, residential rehabilitation will likely be the best option for you. However, if your amputation doesn’t significantly increase your risk of further injury, or you have additional support in the home, a course of in-clinic rehabilitation sessions will be most beneficial to you and your care.

Who is eligible for residential rehabilitation?
Your prosthetic care programme will be designed by your case manager (if applicable) and your LPC prosthetist. If they collectively agree that the complexity of your injury requires around-the-clock care, you will be eligible for residential rehabilitation. You can also self-refer if you feel you would benefit from an increased level of care. Referral information can be found here.
Can family members visit during my residential rehabilitation stay?
Of course, in fact, we recommend it! Friends and family can often help by providing additional physical and mental support during your stay.
Is residential rehabilitation covered by insurance or legal compensation claims?
Yes it is. Once your case has been appointed to a Case Manager or legal professional, interim funding will be provided. This is determined by the legal or Case Manager and supported by expert witness reporting submitted and approved by the claimant.
